I have been a friend, companion and sister to many young people who are silenced by all sorts of trauma in different levels. I am really into peer-counselling. This means I have to be the 'voice' of reason to someone who feels trapped and sees no escape. This also means that as a young person myself, I have to lead by example and practice what I preach. There are a lot of issues that i come across everyday: teenage pregnancy, suicide, domestic abuse, substance abuse and more. ( lire plus...)

Inspiration comes from the Lord, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and every other god. It comes from nature and it's beauty, sometimes from the beauty of others. But most importantly, it comes from the acts of others. Even mistakes are inspiring, so you can learn from them. Lots of my inspiration comes from this. The issue that really matters to me is giving a voice to the voiceless. This group includes the poor and the youthful youth. I became aware about this through my work as a journalist as most of the issues that are being covered by the media concern people that are already in the limelight and leave out the grassroots. I started radio programmes featuring only children for them to have a voice of their own. I am also recording Oral Testimonies from ordinary people in the villages. Issues have... ( lire plus...)
